The Rocky Horror Picture Show Coming Soon To MAC

How do you do? I see you've met my faithful handyman. Coming this October 2nd, Rocky Horror Picture Show to MAC! I would be surprised if any of the colors in this collection were a neutral tone. In the ripped picture bellow you can see two very loud red lipsticks, also some bold glitter pigments. The package makes me swoon like Janet.

Kat Von D Immortal Lash & Line Kit for Fall 2014

This fall it seems that Sephora is launching a bunch of sets and kits. This one is particularly on my list. The Kat Von D Immortal Lash & Line Kit will be priced at $20 and will include the new Kat Von D immortal mascara and the Kat Von D Tattoo Liner.   I have been using the tattoo liner on a daily basis and for an eyeliner newb like myself it is very forgiving. I have not however used this mascara. I wish this kit was available when I purchased my eyeliner, I would have gladly picked this instead.

Kat Von D Lightning Liner Fall 2014

New in the Kat Von D line up are these new eye liners. The Lightning Liners for this fall have that amazing brush tip just like her traditional black eyeliner. The applicator is very smooth and I don't have the usual struggle of that wiggly line from my crap eyeliner skills.

Here is Sephoras description

What it does:
Kat Von D’s Lightning Liner gives eyes bold, metallic color. Featuring an innovative precision brush tip and vivid shimmering pigments, the click-activated pen dispenses just the right amount of formula, giving you ultimate lining control and fresh application every time. The ultrafine flexible bristles easily move across the lash line, contouring to the eye shape to create a variety of looks—from thin to bold—that last throughout the day.

Shades:
  • Color Poe (metallic purple w/ violet shimmer)
  • Fyfe (metallic khaki green w/ gold shimmer)
  • Hyde (metallic deep brown w/ bronze shimmer)
  • Jett (metallic black w/ silver shimmer)
  • Hex (metallic deep burgundy w/ plum shimmer)
  • Juno (metallic forest green w/ emerald shimmer)

Rumors of Sephora's Holiday Selection 2014

While doing my usual makeup prowl I recently stumbled upon these images on Reddit. I immediately know I had to share them! I am most excited about the studded lipstick collection. I recently have purchased two of them and will be doing a review on these bad boys, overall though they are amazing. Which on are you most excited about?

Urban Decay Launches Pulp Fiction Line!

I had a little girl heart attack when I read this. I could quote Pulp Fiction from begging to end. Coming this July 16th( according to Urban Decay's twitter account) the Pulp Fiction inspired makeup line will be launched. I am drooling just writing this now. Be cool honey bunny!

Recently I lost my naked basics palette to the toilet.. I have been on the fence if I need another one. This palette seems to remind me of the basics palette. I will be trying this one instead to see if it compares.

In this line there will be:
  • Mrs. Mia Wallace 24/7 Glide on lip pencil- $20
  • Mrs. Mia Wallace Revolution Lipstick- $22

Lush Fresh Face Mask

When I started training for my job I realized that I was very close to a Lush store. Needless to say... I went to get "just a couple things." The fresh face mask in Cupcake was my goal. Luckily I had an amazing girl who gave me two samples for Cosmetic Warrior and Catastrophe Cosmetic. I loved them all!. Here is some quick points that I took away from these masks

Cupcake- This smells divine. I put this on right before a bath and I smelled like brownie batter. Luckily I was in the bath too because this mask is a crumbly one. Once this hardens it will flake away anytime you move your face. Trust me, the crumbliness is worth it. After washing this mask off my skin felt taught, hydrated yet not oily, and smooth as a babies butt.

Cosmetic Warrior- According to the Lush website this mask won the Martha Stuart Big Day Beauty Awards this year. Hmm neat. I have ginormous pores which goes hand in hand with unruly black heads. This truly took some of my black heads away. Im hopeful in saying that if I bought a full size and used it regularly that they would all vanish. I give the Cosmetic Warrior ten points.

Catastrophe Cosmetic- Just like its partner in crime, Cupcake, this is very crumbly. I was cleaning my makeup brushes when all of a sudden my face made it snow. I washed it off with water and my skin just radiated. This left my skin also very taught and I could tell it was a deep clean. My face however was pretty dry so follow up with a good moisturizer.

Below is a couple shots of me using these masks. From left to right: Cupcake, Catastrophe Cometic, Cosmetic Warrior.

Lorac Pro Palette 2. Coming soon.

Coming soon and holy heck. I am so frickin excited about this cool toned palette from Lorac. Recently Michelle Phan posted a quick blog about recieving this from a makeup artist. You can read that here. This palette will be (obviously above) 8 matte and 8 shimmer shades. As of right now I have not been able to find the launch date, but I will post it once it is announced/ found.- Edit: Now launching June 15th online and in Ulta stores June 29th.

Im most excited about the cool gray and the chrome shades.  Which ones are you excited about?

Too Faced Rock n’ Roll Rock Candy And Country Nashville Nudes

Coming soon to Ulta only, Too Faced Rock n’ Roll Rock Candy And Country Nashville Nudes! These will be most likely priced at $36.00 and will be available on June 1st. Here are some pictures of the two palettes.

LET THE GOOD TIMES ROLL

Here is another Lush product that I can not live without now! Holy hell its like a cookie orgy on your face. Every time I wash my face with this toffee sugar cookie scented soap, it feel so supple and moisturized. When you break off a piece and mush it in water, it creates this milky heaven. I would suggest using a makeup remover of some sorts before using this product.

Here is a how to:
Dampen your skin with warm water. Break off a piece of your cleanser, and mix with a little warm water to create a paste. Massage onto your face and body, rinse thoroughly and pat dry.

Here's what Lush has to say about it:

Gently exfoliating polenta cleanser

A luxuriously soft and sweetly-scented cleanser, Let The Good Times Roll has quickly become a huge fan favorite. Maize flour, corn meal and a dash of cinnamon powder gently exfoliate and leave you with a vibrant glow, and lightly hydrating corn oil helps skin to retain its moisture and elasticity. With its rich butter-caramel fragrance and velvety texture, no wonder this one is so popular!

Lush Sea Spray

I have been training lately for my new job in a metro area where I can get ahold of Lush products again. Ugh, my heart. So be warned that I will be posting a lot about these products. With that said, meet Sea Spray by Lush. I recently talked about my new hair cut in this blog post, I have been struggling with what to do with it. When I had my long hair I love falling asleep with products in my hair and waking up to my wavy hair. Side not my hair has a bit of wavy curl to it, so scrunching it usually sticks well.
This morning I tried out Sea Spray for the first time. I took my shower and then when my hair was still wet I sprayed Sea Spray all over my hair and scrunched it up. I let my hair air dry and to my satisfaction, it looked pretty awesome. I showed up to work and eleven hours after application this is my hair below.

So as you can see, it held the scrunched look very well. For my straight stubborn hair sisters, you might want to apply this after you dry and curl your hair with a large barrel.

Over all this is a lovely product and for 12.95 its a pretty nice price point for Lush.
Here is what lush describes it as:
"Our sea salt, sea water and seaweed spritz holds hair in place, adds shine and gives body for a beach-beautiful look. A gorgeous orange flower, grapefruit, neroli and rosewood blend perfumes the spray. It smells so divine, we've been spritzing it in our hair just to smell the fragrance! Use anytime you want to refresh, re-style or add some volume, texture and shine."

The Body Shop Blueberry Body Scrub

This product is fan-freaking-tastic. Recently Essiebutton talked about the new Body Shop Blueberry scrub and I was super curious about this jelly like substance. So I ran out to The Body Shop and gave it a whirl. Its like taking a jar of jam that just happened to of gotten seeds and some sort of sand in it...  It smells so nomy, my boyfriend even used it and liked it. My skin was so smooth and hydrated after using this, it also smelled of REAL blueberries. I find that fruit scents in bath and body products tend to have a heavy artificial smell to them. This product also comes in raspberry and smells just as amazing. I however had to refrain from getting two scrubs.

The body shop is running a promotion right now online( I'm not sure about in store) where you can get bath and body products for half off. This falls in that category!

Original Price: $20

Benefit They’re Real Push-Up Liner Coming June 27th 2014

$24 for They’re Real Push Up Liner
$18 for They’re Real Remover

I have a confession... I buy eyeliner all the time and I use none of it. I have a severe issue with applying eyeliner. I always end up with shaky lines that are uneven and unnatural looking. This brand new eyeliner will be launching in July! Yes I will be buying it, and yes I do have high hopes that this will help me finally apply eyeliner. I found this really helpful guide on benefits website  that shows how to work this product.

NAILS INC Pop Art 2-in-1

I can never resist those evil/ glorious bins by the check out at Ulta and Sephora. This here is from my recent trip to Ulta to pick up a new hair dryer. I need more nail polish like I need a hole in my head. However I am so happy I picked this little guy up. The Nails Inc Pop Art 2-in-1 is my first Nails Inc polish and I am pretty impressed. The base dried super quick and had a matte finish to it. I didn't struggle with applying multiple coats and waiting for them to dry. Usually I can't wait and I end up with muddy nails. The top coat applied lovely as well.  I had to dab on the pieces at times but over all it was a very pleasant experience. Not once did it mess up the base coat.

Nails inc has a couple other colors too. These are $14 each.

Chopping Off My Hair!

So yesterday I decided that it was time for a change in my life. If you're like me, then you probably comb through Pinterest looking at cute hairstyles and struggle with no avail to recreate these pretty buns. Last sunday I spent two hours trying to do a bun from The Small Things blog, and alas, I did not succeed. My hair was boarding the freaky religious length*. The ends were pretty dang split too. It was time to give it a break. So I called my stylist and went in for a "trim." I told her slightly below my shoulders, my hair being a bit curly definitely sprung up and its a bit shorter than I went in wanting. However I absolutely love it! In total I took off a whopping 10 inches! My hair feels so light and free. I fully believe that this will be so amazing for this spring and summer.

*Please do not take offense when I say freaky religious. Its just a light hearted joke and I am sorry if this did offend you. I have my own beliefs and I do not judge others for theirs.

MAC x Marge The Simpsons Collection for Fall 2014

To celebrate the 25th anniversary of The Simpsons, M•A•C is launching a special edition collection in honor of the lovely Marge Simpson! This will be launching September 2014. There is no word yet on what exactly will be in the collection but I have my suspicions that there will be some blue, green and maybe something to symbolize the pearl necklace she wears. I will be posting as more becomes available.

I grew up loving The Simpsons and probably watching it at way to young of an age. Here is Marge Simpson when she had another debut on Project Runway.

My Favorite Spring Scent... As Of Right Now.

Have you seen this Sonia Kashuk body wash? I never would have known that Sonia Kashuk even had body care items if I hadn't started following The Small Things Blog. After seeing her March favorites video I ran out that day and picked this up, Im not even exaggerating. This is such a heavenly, feminine, delicate scent. Every time I step out of the shower or put this lotion on, my boyfriend perks up and makes an excited "OOOoooo." There are four scents, and I would suggest you smell them all. I found them at my target right next to the floor. So picture me huddled on the ground sniffing all of the bottle. I was in heaven.

You can order some either on Target or the Sonia Kashuk website or just go to target and use your red card.
