Top Ten Disney Movies To Get Ready For Disney

As of yesterday my son woke me up with tears. He had a double ear infection... Needless to say we will be couch ridden for at least a couple days recouping. Nothing captures his attention than a good disney film and just because he's a boy doesn't mean we are limited. My son loves a good princess movie as well. So if you're home sick or if you're planning a trip to disney and just want to get the little ones ready, here is my list of must see movies.

10. Snow White

This one is mainly for me. My favorite disney movie is snow white. With the new Seven Dwarf Mine Train ride at disney, this will get them ready to really understand and enjoy the experience.

9. Cinderella

Cinder- elly Cinder- elly. My son gets completely sucked into this film. It also has one of my favorite song, A Dream is a Wish Your Heart Makes. You will see a lot of references at disney containing Cinderella.

8. Incredibles

This is such an under-rated disney film. The Incredibles was one of my sons first favorite disney films. If you have little ones make sure to take time out to participate in the incredibles dance party as seen in our Magic Kingdom Vlog fast forward to about the 9:40 mark if you don't want to see the rest.

7. Little Mermaid

This is currently my sons "girlfriend."  We waited in line three times to meet her while in the magic kingdom. This is also a good movie to teach children that yes parent can make mistakes but we just want whats best for them.

6. Toy Story.. All of Them

When I was young I use to try to play with all my toys evenly as to not make some sad, all because this movie. You will see lots of Toy Story interactions in Disney. There is Toy Story Mania, Buzz Lightyears Space Ranger Spin, and basically all of Frontier land. You can meet Woody and Jessie outside of our favorite ride, Splash Mountain.

5. Aladdin

Robin Williams really makes this movie truly memorable. You can meet Aladdin and Jasmine right outside of the Magic Carpet ride. Make sure to grab a Dole Whip right next door at Aloha Isle.

4. Lion King

Who hasn't raised their cat and said "Simba" in a deep bellowing voice? You will see lots of the lion king in Animal Kingdom. Also this film is becoming more and more popular with The Lion Guard now being out.

3. Beauty and The Beast

Try the Grey Stuff its delicious! No really go to Be Our Guest restaurant in Magic Kingdom, you can eat this glorified oreo fluff with frosting. Also take a stop at Gastons Tavern and try the LeFous Brew.

 2. Monsters Inc.

This is also a movie that sucks both my son and I in. We had a fun time at the Laugh Floor on our disney trip. My son giggled so hard.

1. Wreck It Ralph

Easily our favorite movie. It combines our nerdy love for video games with our equally nerdy love for disney. This movie teaches us all to love who we really are.

Top 5 Disney Snacks, other than Dole Whip or Mickey Bars

We all know and agree that yes Dolewhip, Mickey bars, and pretzels are the best. The usual expected snacks that are super yummy. Here are some that are a bit less known and are flipping amazing.

1. Lefou's Brew with Cinnamon Roll- Gaston's Tavern, Magic Kingdom

This drink was my favorite and my sons. It is a frozen apple juice with toasted marshmallow and had mango foam on top. On a hot summer day this really hit the spot and help cooled my son down. The cinnamon roll was huuuuge, and so filling. This is a great way to start your day at the park.

2. Sweet & Spicy Chicken Waffle Sandwich - Sleepy Hollow, Magic Kingdom
This treat is definitely spicy! I got to take part in this treat while my son napped. The sandwich is a fried chicken breast that is nice and crispy dredged in an Asian sauce. There is a great slaw and arugula paired to cool down the spice. Do have a drink near by and keep in mind that this is a bit unpleasant in the heat, however I enjoyed it.

3. Make-Your-Own Crispy Treats - Goofy's Candy Company, Downtown Disney/Disney Springs

(picture thanks to http://www.disneyfoodblog.com/)

This is a fun experience. My son loved picking what he could have on this Mickey shaped rice crispy treat. It was super delicious and you get to watch them make it.

4. Anything and Everything from Karamell Kuche - Germany Pavilion, Epcot.
My favorite pavilion in Epcot is the German pavilion. The food and atmosphere is amazing. The Karmell Kuche has the most amazing caramel I have ever had, and they dip everything in it! My favorite was the pinwheel which was caramel rolled with cream to make this amazing spiral.

5. Pressed Brioche Ice-cream Sandwiches - L'Artisan des Glaces, Epcot

Check out Disney Food Blogs post on this snack!

This is a chewy amazing bomb of ice-cream. The sandwich is warmed up from the hot press and it is such a heavenly pairing with cold ice-cream.
